Tool deduction for Investment properties

Can I by tools to maintain my IP properties and claim as a deductible item?

I specifically require a spary gun for painting and high presuure water cleaner to help with paint prepartion of walls and roof.
A chain saw and lawn mower to maintain garden properties. s well as general garden tools
I have no need for these on my own residence.

If I cant buy I presume renting is ok.

Yes you can claim tools and equipment, including a chainsaw, shovels, travel to and fro. etc.

I actualy set up a handy man business, if I want to increase my income for borrowing purposes, I can charge myself for work that I've done to my IP's.

My handy man business was intended to be part time, but I've been at it full time for almost four years now.
