Lots of mine already mentioned but have to add Long Kiss Goodnight.

I love that movie and Geena Davis and Samuel L Jackson.

If you like Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren go see Red at the movies now. Great movie.

Been a few years since anyone added to this post:

My absolute favourite movie is Black Hawk Down. I love a good war movie.

Green Mile

The Castle, so love this Aussie classic.

Beaches, another tear jerker.

Broke Back Mountain, an absolutely beautiful love story. Heath Ledgers best movie I think.

#7 = Life of Brian, Monty Python.
Years ago, one of my work mates and I used to listen to a cassette tape of the audio of that whole movie at work....

Before long, we could recite the whole movie off by heart - line for line.

Yes; we were sick.

We went to see it at the cinemas after this (for the umpteenth time) and got into trouble when we were constantly reciting the lines and laughing before each line was said. Couldn't help ourselves...nearly got thrown out of the cinema.

Had to move to a section with noone near us...hilarious.

"What is your name, Jew?"

"Brian."

"Bwian, ey?"

"No, no...Brian."

"Stwike him, Centuwian...vewy woughly."

Some one please stop me. :p

Other faves of mine (based on movies I would sit and watch more than twice - and have done):

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (both versions)

Polar Express (watch it every year without fail)

Alien and Aliens.

Predator and Terminator

Saving Private Ryan

Indiana Jones.

Sureshank Redemption (of course)

Every James Bond movie.

Gran Torino..and anything else Clint Eastwood.

Reciting Life of Brian again this morning - looks like someone is getting over his depression :):):)
Not especially; it has varying levels.

Reminiscing about past funnies is helpful.

"I may have a little job for you; Brian"...

Can anyone name the character (or actor) who said that line?

In no particular order:

- Evil Dead 1 & 2 (the remake was surprisingly really good, too)
- Godfather 1 & 2
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre
- Halloween 1 & 2 (both original and remake)
- The Usual Suspects
- Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
- Mad Max (I'm the Nightrider. I'm a fuel injected suicide machine. I'm the rocker, I'm the roller, I'm the out-of-controller!)
- Psycho
- A Nightmare On Elm Street
- Death Proof (aside from Kurt Russell crying like a girl)

Honourable mentions:

- Dod Sno
- The Cabin In The Woods
- Hostel
- Battle Royale
- Hannibal (would be in the top 10 if they stayed true to the book ending)
- Machete (or anything directed by Robert Rodriguez, really)
