Hi All,

What age were you when you first Obtained an IP & Started your Journey??

They say "Its never too late to invest"

I purchased my first IP @ 22, Than went overseas, Travelled and sold my IP to fund my Travel & Travel frivolities

So technically I didn't start my Investment journey until 27
thats when I came back to Australia and Purchased an IP in Bayswater WA and got serious about Investing.

I am Interested in what age others started.

I was 24. If I'd known then what I know now - I would have told myself to get 95% loans and buy as much as I could everything was so cheap back then! Pity I was a conservative investor dipping my foot into the property market for the first time.

My first (and second) investment purchase = age 28. I'd bought a PPOR at 25.

I think I was 22 or 23.

I built a 4 x 2 in Sinagra, WA for the princely sum of $120k inc land. $60k land, $60k house. Ahhh those were the days - of course I was only earning $32k pa so it still was a lot of money.

First PPOR at 30 used its equity to purchase my next property at 37 for investment. Yeah I know I was a late starter, so I hit it pretty hard for the following decade to compensate for it.

PPOR at the age of 27 and first IP at the age of 30. Hindsight - should have bought much earlier! Was fortunate to purchase land for PPOR just before the boom and this provided equity to gear into further investments. Was very frightened though!!
