unfortunately our experience of buying our first home, which is probably stressful enough, has been compounded by a bad solicitor.
(he was highly recommended by a relative - but she had used him to sell a property, not buy)
Adding insult to injury his fees will probably be fairly high. He has caused us incredible stress and we are always needing to chase him up. He promised to do things 2 weeks ago and we still have not received the right documents from him. (times + dates of requests have been documented in emails) He doesn't let you know of communication between the vendors' solicitors until you call him to chase up on an issue.
He owns his own firm so I can't send a complaint letter to his manager... but is it worth making my unhappiness known?
