Rookie that I am, I was flicking through the property investment magazines at the newsagents. They have all those stories about individual investors and there is always a little table at the bottom showing the numbers, which obviously include the present value. My question is, where does that estimate come from? Is it just whatever the individual being profiled has told the magazine or does the publisher do something to verify it?
Where do the values in mags come from?
