Who owns laneway?

i just purchased a property at 1493 Korumburra rd Kongwak Vic.
The re agent can't tell me if the laneway running along the property is my land or the shop next door or the farmer out the backs.
Any idea how I find out?

I'd be asking local council. Don't you have anything showing property boundaries?

Definitely ask local council and check your title. I doubt it is yours - more likely owned by the council or one of your neighbors.
As this is victoria does it say on your Section 32?

According to the block outline on the realestate advert your block is 16.5m wide so I assumed no lane way.

What does victorian government website show as a block size? Www.land.vic.gov.au and choose interactive maps

when the deposited plan was created for your particular subdivisn, be it yesterday or 100 years ago, the ROW may have been created to service all lots.

you will only know by checking the title of your property and the surrounding properties and seeing who has a easment burden in favour for access.

you may find that 4, 5 or 10 properties can claim their portion of ROW.
