Will buying using one REA cost you money?

I have had a Real Estate Agent offer to show me several houses included those offered up for sale by other agents.

Is this a big no no?

Do you end up negotiating with your REA and not direct? Hence the info doesn't come 1st hand making it harder to judge the mood.

Will your REA look for extra "some profit"?

Will it be 2 REA vs you? It's hard enough to negotiate with one - but two!

Hi Keen

This is normal in a lot of regional areas. The agents in a town all share their listings.

You don't have to negotiate with the other agent. "Your" agent will present your offer to him/her.

Likewise the listing agent and the selling agent share the commission. There will be no extra charge to you.

We bought the block for our PPOR this way. The agent showed us a number of properties, including some offered by another agent. Commissions were split, there appeared to be no particular problems.
