Hi guys, I'm looking for an electrician replace the old bulb lighting with downlights throughout my whole house. Does anyone know any cheap ones around Melb? I've already got a quote at $60 per light and I'm not sure if that is cheap or not. thanks.

    Melbourne Boom...Take 2!

If the property is really worth 710K then obviously the agent and vendor seriously undervalued the property given that the property was on the market at 500K. The advertisement has no mention of a permit for 26 apartments to be built on the 715sqm block. It just mentions "dual occupancy"...

Maybe it was a cashed up chinese buyer. The house number was 28 which I believe looks like a lucky number.

I think it's safe to say that the Melbourne property market is hot atm. I sold my house yesterday at auction at a price that exceeded my expectations. I thought I was lucky but then when I checked the auction results for other properties that day I couldn't believe how much they sold for...

    Choice of suburbs?

Hi Leegirl, I believe there is a pocket in Nunawading that you might need to watch out for as there is a lot of druggos/crime. Maybe someone who lives in the area can share some light as to which pocket to avoid. I have a couple of friends who have advised me, one who lives there and the...

Thanks CADAN, I did what I could myself but had to get professionals to do other things like restumping, roofing, carpet, and garage. Hardest bit was the paving. 13 pellets of pavers which is something I will not ever want to do again. This is my PPR.

I wish you were right. I can't see myself getting that unless I get bidders like those that attended the Reservoir auction on the weekend. I believe 7 years ago the median for the area was around 300K. I bought this place about 8.5 years ago for over 200K.

You are close, but the range given to me was a bit higher than that. It's too soon for me to comment on how I am finding dealing with Ray White Oakleigh. I'll be in a better position to comment once auction day has come. It wasn't my choice to not put a price range on my property. I have...

    Melbourne Boom...Take 2!

I can't see these prices being sustainable. I'm selling my house in 3 weeks and hoping to buy back in the area one day with the purpose of knocking down to build a nice PPR. I think prices will adjust downwards mid next year due to interest rate rises and the removal of FHBG. Out of...
