Well ING increases it to 5.99% and CBA just just decreased to 5.59% for 2 years. Confused yet?

ING are increasing their 2 and 3 year fixed rates effective from the 17th August... very interesting.....

He has either made a typo or he may have been referring to St George instead of Westpac. He has forgotten to mention Suncorp @ 5.57% but they price based on LVR so you must be below 80% to get that rate.

Westpac is 5.79% for a 3 Year Fixed Loan under their PAP (professional package).

Yes it would be interesting to see what Westpac however I'm not holding my breath. They have been consistently more expensive than the other lenders for the past year. Hopefully they will start to change.
