Advice for a first home buyer in Melbourne??

I was looking at units in Chelsea as they seemed little affordable but the commonwealth bank property guide shows zero growth in that suburb in last 12 months. Any idea why?

Don't concern yourself with short term stats, they are so open to variances that they are practically useless.

Chelsea is a good option, if buying a unit in the area try and buy in a street that is not unit dominated liked Thames Pde or Embankment.

If you can get one well priced in a street that runs horizontal to Nepean Hwy/The Beach that would be a good option

Agree. I tend to look at the 10 years figures (for buy and holds).
