Anyone have experience dealing with blacktown council - dual occupancy

Has anyone had experience dealing with blacktown council in terms of dual occupancy.

There DCP seems to be really unfriendly to this idea with the only possibility of subdivided blocks on land over 600m2 and are corner blocks.

Having a good read one of the major obstacle other than finding a suitable block is the 100m2 private courtyard requirement for dwellings over 3 bedrooms. Seems to be really hard on when each block is 300m2 and private courtyards cannot be included in front setbacks

Anyone have any experience dealing with this obstacle?

Any feedback would be appreciated
 
I'm not clear, are you looking to do a dual occupancy (two properties detached or attached on one piece of land) or subdividing the block into two pieces of land?
 
Read posts by aka Rich101??, pretty sure he has a couple in this council and has many posts on dual occupancy.

sorry should have made it more clear

the only option in blacktown council to build a dual occupancy and subdivide is through a detatched dual occupancy on a corner block with each lot having a minimum of 300m2 and facing one street for each proposed lot.
