Are there groups which anyone can be a part of where it has a listing of new companies/franchises that you can invest a certain portion of your money into the start up of - which would then give you a certain share of the business? Coming up with the idea because Adelaide is looking for someone to invest into our first Ben/Jerrys (which I would minimally consider but never for the full amount).
Are there any commercial investment groups? (to go part venture)

Ensure you have undertaken adequate due diligence with whatever you go for and that you read PDS docs in their entirety. These types of VC opportunities are clearly not without risk, however it's never wise to put all your investment into just one venture that you have no control over.

Seriously though this seems to be where many sophisticated investors look to get in at the pre IPO level .
One local company that I have an interest in listed at 25c and the shares are now about 8.45 in about a 5 year time frame . The big boys didn't pay .25c though .
