I wish to let everybody know that 37 questions were submitted to me for answers prior to the s.b.s. show . A lot of time was spent formulating intelligent answers to these questions so they'd be in a position to provide accurate information. Unfortunately ...non of this information was used.
With regards the age newspaper over an hour was spent with Martin Daly the writer of the present articles and the association agreed with some of what he said and we also pointed out that the people involved are not association members. All parties agreed that we are working at finding ways to rid the business of undesirables. Mr Daly spent time at lengh explaining that he was not against the business or the industry but only against some of the operators within it
Today a current affair has asked for an interview and we have given them a written statement as well as stated we'd answer all written questions put to us in writing so that nobody gets confused along the way about what was actually said.
It is the associations policy to write and answer all questions put to it by the media, unfortunately if this information only finds the cutting room floor then maybe the attempt by the media to provide balanced reporting is merely an attempt and not a goal.
