How about a photobook of her life?
Scan the old photographs and add in the current ones.
We did this for my grandmothers 90th and all her friends thought it was wonderful.
It could also be a great item for her to pass onto someone special in her will.

The DVD idea was probably the best one in the thread, she's really into sentimental crap like that, but it'd be tough to organise... any tips?
Ask to borrow the old family videos/8mm films and have them edited and converted to dvd.

I'm probably hard to buy for. I've got most things I want & I'm not the sort to want flowers and chocolates etc. Much better than more 'stuff'. I'm not a 'stuff' kinda person.

This would be my suggestion. See blurb - we've done books of holidays, family, kids, garden, houses etc. If most of your photos are already digital it's mostly drag & drop with a few words for each photo. It'll need a few hours of your time. They usually print & deliver within a week.
Get her a pair of socks. Kmart have some really good ones.
