Lets not forget Personal Services Income rules if you plan on using a structure. Even if you pass those, the ATO can still use their Anti Avoidance rules if they believe you are splitting income with others that is not justified by the work they perform.

Also might be an idea to start with the end in mind....If you plan on building a business to sell down the track then you wont want it in a company as you you'll miss out on the CGT exemptions......If they're still around when you go to sell or if trusts still have access to the CGT exemptions.
