Always thought this to be undervalued. Doesn't seem all that long ago you could buy a reno for 400k.

Even something like this looks like good value, close to Freeway, shops, and the Veneto Club!

I think the only issue in that rental returns are still low.

We rented an un renoed 3 bed with a massive garage / carport for $250 a week, back in 2007 though.

Yes, I think so too. Almost all 3 bed brick veneers are 800's if not on the main road or too close on the freeway.
