Buying a Aust Post Franchise

Just did a quick exercise.

Parcel being sent from Sydney 2000 to Brisbane 4000

30x30x30 3kg.

Australia Post - $18. Couriers Please - $15.

Couriers please come to me. Australia Post I have to go to them.

You Decide.

Yep, I can send up to 25kg (cubed weight) for $7.50 + GST with fastway in sydney metro, pickup by 10am delivered by 4pm.

Auspost, 3kg express post satchel with no insurance, next day, $13 + GST, 5kg is $20 + GST. Parcel post satchels arent much cheaper.

Using our larger freight company, I can get a big server delivered from Sydney to Melbourne overnight for $35, fully insured.

Auspost lost business from my business years ago.

Fastways lost my business, as Aust Post cost the same or less (on a contract - I get good rates) and they gave me better service. I can send anything in Sydney, which covers Central Coast, Wollongong and Blue Mountains, for $6.95 normal or $8.95 Express, up to 22kgs.

The local Fastways driver often doesn't pick up when he's supposed to & They lost a few things, which translated to me having too many upset customers. I haven't had any real issues at all since starting my contract with Australia Post.
