Buying a unit in NSW? Help from VIC!

Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a unit in NSW and have found it very different to Melbourne when buying a house (my past experience!). For example, in Melbourne:

- You find the house
- You inspect the house
- You ask for the section 32 document (detailing all on the house, plans, titles etc)
- You put in an offer subject to finance/building inspection
- Offer then negotiated. Eventually (hopefully accepted)
- You are unconiditional once completing the above.

Speaking to a NSW based agent last week, he told me we have to buy the Section 32 and/or the Body Corporate Minues for any homes. They don't have the data/reports and can't supply them. He said I had to go to eyeon to buy?

Please help!! :)

In NSW you pretty much get a contract, which isn't signed until you're prepared to go unconditional. It is a bit weird, but you do have enough time to do your own due dilligence. Often your conveyancer will do a lot of that for you.
