buying out of town...advice please

Hi

My husband and I will be visiting Brisbane shortly and plan to familiarise ourselves with the city with regard to purchasing an IP. We are unfamiliar with Brisbane a need some suggestions as to the best way to familiarise ourselves and make the best use of the time we have. We can hire a car, or...........this is were I would really like you advise.

As we will have our 2 very small children (both under 2) with us and no family or friends in the city to babysit they will need to part of the plans we make.

We did the househunting bit with a baby and a toddler when searching for our PPOR. Not easy.

A suggestion - take a video camera and video everything. That way you can replay it at your leisure. Note taking on each property is very handy too.

I have tried seaching but sometimes you have to think of plenty of different ways to word what you want...a bit like a thesaurus.

I like the idea of the video we can do that too.
