Can I take out my own Building Insurance - In addition to the Builder's

Currently building, slab down, can I take out my own insurance, (I am sure the builder has his insurance) to insure against the builder should he not complete the work for some reason.

What insurance companies do this? What are the policies called?

your builder should have provided you with a home warranty insurance upon signing his contract with you, it is required by law. This home warranty will cover you for your builder not completing the works, going bankrupt etc.
