Capital gains tax on building 1 project per year.

My family plans to buy land and build a house, on completion we intend to sell. We have other properties that we intend to keep as well we dont believe to sell only if we have to.

We hope to make around $50k profit from a 8 month project.

I would like to know what is the best way to minimise CGT? Does it also mean we have to pay 50% of $50k which would equal $25k we have to give away?

How do builders build 3 or 4 homes per year and keep there profits. Or do they only make around $20k per home as well.
