Cement render is cheaper, draws moisture up.
Basically sand,cement,boncrete mixed,
Acrylic polymer render is as it says acrylic, dries hard, repels water.
Its a lot more expensive,as its sold premixed in a bucket like paint.
I will always use the acrylic render myself,
Off the subject a bit but my in laws rendered a house. Massive job and it only cost them $13000. I could not believe it for value for money. I would have paid the guys double that. I think the product was Aztex or something like that. I am not a valuer but I suggest they added over $100,000 to the value of the place.
I would charge around the $10,000 -$13000 also, however I would only use around $1000-1500 worth of product and it would only take around three days,
Good money hey

10K job = 10% materials,($1000)
Wages x 1 person $300 day x 3 (900)
My profit = around $2000 a day (6000)
Still leaves $2100 to play with.
I'm not trying to show off but it gives you a bit of an idea of the money trades people can make if they are any good.
I am lucky I have unlimited work available to me with no quoting and I use subcontractors as well so I also make money from them each week on top of that.
