Centrelink - Assessible Income

Current my FTB family assessed income is approx 38k OVER my gross PAYE income.
So what's the $38k? I can see it being $38k over if you're earning $38k in gross rent before deductions. Rent is still income, its just not PAYE income.

He also is of the position that my wife should not be deemed as having income, but she is.
This one gets people a lot. She's 'earning' a loss. Go figure. You might think her income is $-10k, the FT people say she's earning $10k. One of their stranger policies, if you ask me.

I think 38k is combo of rent in plus total neg gearing loss both of us which has been added onto my gross paye salary
