Hi Guys,
Looking at purchasing a house in Melbourne. It is a house on a block that could be made into 2 lots.
The house would be demolished in order to create the two lots.
My question -
If the property is purchased as my PPOR and in the future i decide to go ahead with the subdivision, what are the ramifications with CGT.
I would still want to keep the front block to build PPOR on and the back block would have an IP built on it.
What method is used to calculate the CGT and is that front "PPOR" block free from CGT?
Thanks
Rooster
