Curtain location

The property has a 2400 mm ceiling, with most windows 1000 mm wide and 2100 mm high. The consensus is that scrim curtains over the window will soften the outlook. I'm unsure if the curtain brackets should be high on the wall or level with the top of the windows. Advice would be valued.TIA.

Usually the rod will be 100mm or so above the architrave

Also need to consider if you are using made to measure or off the shelf curtains.

These are often 2100 high and look silly if they are more than 50mm off the floor.

The curtains are over 2400 long, and will be cut to size.
