DA for new business

My MIL is looking at purchasing a new PPOR on a couple of acres to start an animal husbandry business (dogs). What she requires is a new shed on the property to get her going and some new temporary fencing.

How does the process differ for applying for a DA for a business premises with a new structure 'v' a new structure?

Zoning is fine for this type of development, the major impacts of the development would probably be noise and waste.
 
Check to see if its a permitted use in the zone and, as always, talk to the planner. This type of use often attracts objections at the DA stage so this is unlikely to be a quick process.

Especially for animal husbandry (dogs).....I love dogs but would hate to live right next to a breeder :)
