Data usage?

I'm playing a few games on the iPad. Words with friends, solitaire and streaming some radio. I'd like to know how much data these things use. I seem to be using my limit up pretty quick. Is there an app that meters and is visible on the screen?

Check under settings> General> Usage> Cellular Usage.

What provider are you with? Some are sneaky and round up every data session to the nearest MB (not KB, 1000KB = 1MB). If your device constantly establishes short sessions doing things like automatically checking for new email or updating weather this can add up fast.

The radio streaming will use the most data, as does Google maps.

If you're on wifi then the data will be your home broadband.

I use Telstra Prepaid, the $150 for 10 GB for 365 days deal.

I'm with Telstra bigpond. A wifi 4G unit.
