Discretionary distribution of property income?

Hello,

I was using the term 'family trust' in a generic sense. I meant if I had my time again, I would not buy in any kind of trust.

We have a hybrid trust. It combines a unit trust and discretionary. I am in nsw. There used to be no threshold for land tax, but that changed a few year back. The normal thresholds apply now.

Depending on the deed a hybrid deed can be amended to a fixed unit trust. Have seen it without CGT and duty in NSW.
