Electrician and Cabinetmaker recommendation - Cairns

Hi All,

As the title states - looking at having a bit of electrical work done and also want to get a quote for a home office/desk set up.

Property is northern beaches if it matters.

Electrician - call into Lawrence and Hanson or another of the electrical wholesalers in Cairns and ask or a recommendation. They will know the established businesses and their specialisations. Not all electricians will do domestic work.

Hope the home remedies worked for the midge bites.

That guy is unlucky. He couldn't complete the work we paid him for because:

His child fell off a roof
Another child was bitten by a snake or spider
Someone else was sick
He was too hungover to come round
He was at a party

The list goes on. Work was never completed. What a tosser of a bloke. He scheduled probably 15 different time frames to complete the work. Never did.

Pacific Kitchens for a cabinet maker they mass produce kitchens so can do them really cheap make sure you specify exactly what you want though.

and get a quote first don't accept the first quote they always have room to move or cheaper options.

They do really good quality work at a good price note "not the cheapest"

For electricals, I've had excellent service from Kirk Tinnings, All Hours Electrical Cairns, over the years (can't find a dedicated website, but this listing is them: atozpages.com.au/contentsatoz/ELECTRIC-CABLE-DUCTING.htm).

For cabinetry, I've used CCW (ccwcabinetworks.com.au) with great result previously. They are not the cheapest in town, but I loved the service/product. I dealt with Maria Blain and she was really helpful, not pushy at all (even when I probably gave the indication that I would go elsewhere) and she had some great ideas layout-wise.

For top-of-the-line wooden cabinetry, I would 100% recommend Johnton Joinery (johnstonjoinery.com.au). Peter and Carmel (and their team) are awesome people, and they have superb work and finish. I believe they have ventured into kitchens as well lately, although I don't see that reflected on their website yet. Either way, worth a call if you want top quality finishings.
