Elliptical Trainers/ Cross-Trainers

Hi, all,
I'm in the market for one of the above exercise machines, but don't have a clue as to which one to buy.
Went to an Elite Fitness Centre today, and found one I was quite comfortable with....a Vision X6100 at about $2400. Online, I could buy the next model up, the X6200HRT, for about the same price.
The cheaper units just didn't feel right, and I don't think most of them are designed for someone 6ft tall.
Do any of you have any experience with these things, and can anyone offer me any suggestions, hints, tips etc?

[Welcome]

Have had some bad experiences with some cheap ellipticals. Ended up forking out for a Scifit (www.scifit.com) elliptical and have been very happy.

'Welcome', the 'Scifit' looks good, and where did you buy it? Can you also tell me what it cost?

I have a Healthstream Marquee and I remember when I was shopping for them, the chap at the shop had me try them all, and he pointed out to me that this particular one was suited to my height (156cm - 5'2"). It wasn't until his advice that I realised that with many of them I was leaning slightly forward just to grasp the handles.

I can stand on the Marquee and reach for the handles without leaning.
