Two days ago there was segment on Channel 7's 6pm news that Melbourne's northern suburb of Epping is a property hotspot. Some people talked about affordability, the hospital, train station and of course Melbourne's $600M fruit and vegetable wholesale market.

There are a couple of auctions listed there. About an year ago, there weren't any auctions there. It looks like Epping is getting hotter. Any ideas ?

surrounded by new land development. It would have to have a specific match to your strategy.

There's a massive amount of construction going on there and it's already been happening for years. It's probably a bit late to call it the next big thing.

That said, given it's location, it's one of the better areas where I'd look to be entering the Melbourne market at the moment.

If there talking about affordability i hate to think somewhere like carrum downs would be then isnt that affordable enough? Theres a station nearby a hospital. A market? What about a farmers market???

Epping is going to be a hot spot but the boat has already sailed.
If you are going to react to the news then you have missed the boat in terms of getting a great buy and maximizing potential.

But a really good area to look at.
