The Residential Tenancies Authority is offering people who manage their own rental property a FREE one hour seminar explaining everything they need to know about the rules for renting out a place in Queensland.
This seminars will help owners (self-managing lessors) protect their biggest investment by letting them know about the tenancy process from start to finish as outlined in the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 including:
* Their rights and responsibilities
* Application fees and deposits
* Reference checking process
* All the paperwork eg. tenancy agreement, lodging bonds etc. including how to use RTA forms and fact sheets
* Rent payments, increases and decreases and process for rent arrears.
* Repairs and maintenance
* Dispute resolution
* Entry notice periods
* Ending a tenancy
* How to deal with abandoned goods and premises
