I'm babysitting a house at the moment and probably by the end of the year,
the dream run will end and will have to move out
So now we have to look for a roof somewhere.
Options:
1. Go rent a place
(not easy with tightish market and limited)
2. Move into our IP (oldish house)
(currently rented out @ ~$400/wk so would lose income)
3. Build and live in a granny out back of IP
(with 'intention' to demolish front house in future and build a new one to move into and possibly rent out granny)
We have an IP within Canning Council with a decent sized backyard
and are considering granny
Have called the council and the town planner said it SHOULD be OK to build granny... and directed us to applications
Not sure if can live in granny and demolish and build new house out front though after reading through some of the threads
So... before going down the rabbit hole of applying, getting granny quotes and all that, it would be good to hear the experienced wisdom pros and cons from you kind folk
