Gone Blue

Took the plunge and bought myself a blu-ray player recently. In one word: WOW! Didn't think I would be as impressed as when I transitioned from VHS to DVD but I was and more. Not only is the picture awesome in HD, the sound is so crisp and clear it just makes took my movie watching into a level i didn't know existed

Went to see (before I got the blu-ray player) the new Star Trek on IMAX and was very impressed with the movie, picture and sound quality but after going blu I think I may be saying goodbye to the cinema for a while!

Anyone else gone blue?

WHen I want a better picture and awesome sound, I get up early and go for a bike ride.

It's amazing how much sharper the colors and clearer the sound in real life.

Fair enough WW, but when watching guns blazing and explosions I prefer them being confined to the TV
