Great news for NSW developers

Seems the NSW government is getting their act together and making it easier to get DAs approved within zoning rules

With this and massive differences in cost between buying off plan and existing properties, it seems developing in NSW is looking more promising.

I think councils are facing a major income shortage so cant be as picky these days.....

Up here they are letting a developer sell 70sqm lots as 2 bedroom homes for first homeowners. Great idea, and guess what, if it doesnt work, the developer loses out and wont do it again!

Some progressive thinking across the board from our overlords?

I'm following this with interest.

This is pretty different from what was in the original discussion paper, and in line with what the Property Council has been advocating for quite a period of time.

I am hugely in favour of it. Very workable model that has had good effects overseas.
