GST registration affects sale of Duplex?

Hi all

Looking for assistance with a basic understanding of how registering for and back dating GST will affect the duplex I built last year if I sell it after its birthday in September 08.

I have reached a point where I will have to use the low doc form of loans and I understand that the banks are looking for an ABN and GST registration. I have had my ABN for 6 years and I was registered for GST up to about the middle of last year. I cancelled the GST because I never got any benefit from it at the time.

If I now register for GST and back date it will I be disadvantaged when I sell the Duplex in Sept 08?
