How do they do it so cheap .... Property Planet?????

Just been surfing domain.com.au and came across the following listing

http://www.domain.com.au/property/new-developments/new-house-land/vic/bendigo/?adid=2011313551&sp=13

Just wondering if this would be a fixed price contract, or would they sign you up and hit you up for a lot of extra fees
I would also question the quality of the fixtures and fittings and workmanship as it appears quite cheap.
Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with this developer or just general feedback
All replies would be greatly appreciated :D

Very cheap land and a cheap house

Only 2 coats of paint
Would be very very cheap appliances, fittings, tiles and floor coverings and also very cheap trades.....

Doesn't mean it's bad. It will just be of a lower quality. Obviously structurally everything must be built to australian standards so should be ok.

I wouldn't buy one, but then again Im a builder...

Only 2 coats of paint

You mean 1 coat, sprayed on.

This is house only, land isn't included. The land would also need to be just right, big enough, no slope, no soil issues, ready to go.

The contract being available in 48 hours suggests it's built to a very specific specification. All materials and components would be prefabricated. Any variation to their standard plans is going to incur abnormal costs. You can't move the window frame left by 3 inches.

Bare minimum of features, most people would want more and they'll pay for that quite handsomely.

FHOG has been deducted from the listed price.

As Tim suggests, built to a standard, but in 10 years time it'll be looking fairly shabby; you could probably say that for a lot of houses in new estates though.

Nope, add actually reads 2 coats of paint! The painter must have swayed his arm left and then right. :)
