Hydrofloors

An innovative way to work around the recently introduced pool fence laws in QLD perhaps? :)

Hydrofloors

The floors can be submerged in water to create a very lovely swimming area… and adjusted in height to make it safe for children to wade in the pool as well… AND entirely elevated to mask the pool completely, increasing the amount of usable square footage. How many pools do you know that can double as a dance floor?

The concept was originally used for the pool / dancefloor on Christina - Aristotle Onassis's boat in 1953. It has recently been restored as the Christina 0.

You often still see pictures of the original blue tiled floor/pool. Again completely restored.

we already have pool fencing laws here in WA.

they have significantly reduced the number of toddler drownings.

this would be a great idea, but then, what govt body is going to see this as a safe alternative to a stinking great fence?
