Independant Town Planner

Hi All,

2 part thread,

1st part - I've read around that Independent Town Planners can take alot of the stress (I'm guessing profits too) - out of dealing with council, etc, when looking to do subdivision work which doesn't necessary fit in the the councils apparently strict (BS) guidelines.
Does anyone have any experience with these dealings and how/if they've added value. Ie. what else they actually do.

2nd part - Depending upon responses above, anyone know one who services City of Marion (SA)?

I'm a town planner. Do more large scale subdivisions, apartment blocks and strategic/urban design work. Very familiar with complying development work though...

I'm not as familiar in SA legislation as I mainly work in NSW and Qld.

Your best bet is to jump on the pia website for a SA planner.
