Which insurance companies are good for commercial property? Would they be similar to the residential property ones or is this a totally different ballgame?

I use a broker, much easier - they all expire on the same day, broker handles claim & follows up (takes me to lunch occasionally) - becomes a business relationship rather than just another expense.

I use a broker as well for the two strata companies I am a unit owner of and strata manager of.
We have our commercial insurance underwritten by Holland Insurance company, which was the best deal I could get compared with other insurers for the same level of cover & risk.
I don't think you'd get a good deal as a direct consumer but rather have to use a broker that uses that insurance company for the better deal.
