Insurance for IP

Hi

Sorry may seem like a silly question but what sort of Insurance do people have on their Property investments.
We have a property under contract and figured best to get some insurance.
The property is currently tenanted.
Is EBM Landlord insurance enough?
Should I be getting home and contents, the property is a Town house build 2007/2008.
Property is not in a flood zone either.

You need building insurance and landlords insurance. If the property is under an owners corporation it will probably have building insurance through them but you need to check.

No need for contents, that's the tenants problem.

I have everything with Suncorp now,and they give 15% discount off,and during the last Brisbane flood they were the only ones that let you know within 36 hours what was going to happen,the insurance company I was with during the floods ,,I,m still waiting..imho..
