Is it ok?

Hi all
... Ok I am gonna ask it anyway
I know it will sound and most probably make me look stupid .. but what the hey!=P

I am interested in getting a place and its in a new real estate complex..
Do you still have the chance to bargain your way on such a property?
Or are they a fixed price thing?

I assume with maybe pre-owned homes you could pick out possible flaws or stuff to negotiate with the vendor, but with a builder do you get that chance?
Cos its brand spanking new and all?

Or is it ok to ask for "freebies" instead? Instead of them lowering the price??
Plus I am really bad at bargaining at a night market, what more a house? =P
Thank you all for your help =)
Cheers!

Hey, go for it.
If you dont ask you wont get.
The worst thing that could happen is they "no". As long as you can handle that sort of rejection your no worse off and there is a chance they may say "yes".

Put in an offer that suits you, but it will help your case if you have something to back up your argument. Such as previous sales history for the area, or yield ratios, etc.

Regardless of asking price you must do your own analysis of the numbers. If the figures work, its a good deal. If they dont, its not. Put in an offer that makes the figures work for you.

Good Luck

Are you buying from a buyer/developer or a developer who has subbied a builder?
