"It's only a rental"

I have some of my IP's that are nice. Others well & truely need a reno. They will get them in time, however it might still be some years before that happens.

I can see both points of view, however I have to say that as an investment, sometimes you do need to look at how much work you do on the places. All of mine - even the crappy ones - are well maintained, clean & tidy when a new tenant goes in there.

I often keep the bond, like Handyandy, but I do not go out of my way to make the place a palace. My crappy IP's are basic and I do not make improvements unless I am going to get extra rental income from them.
