Keysborough VS Williams Landing VS TRUGANINA

As mentioned before, don't built and buy established. There is no shortage of established homes in Williams Landing for under 600k.

Is this good value when you can buy closer into the CBD at Laverton for a little more than half the price?

A large proportion of listings for Laverton seem to be under offer at the moment even though demographically the area is very poor.
 
Nearly everything in Laverton is selling within a few weeks. Much better value than Williams landing. Older house but much bigger block that can be developed.
 
For PPR, Williams Landing is more desirable than Laverton. Many of the larger blocks in Laverton are being snapped up, sub divided and town houses put on them. Might be good for an investor but as a PPR, a lower socioeconomic area full of old homes and town houses it is not a desirable area to live in at all.

Also, Laverton is only a couple of Kms closer to the CBD and only a couple of extra minutes in a car. Barely a noticeable difference.
