Lack of payment to body corporate

More than two months ago during an informal body corporate meeting it was concluded that all four members needed to pay $200 into the body corporate account in order to have funds to pay the gardener.

Following this meeting only two individuals have contributed their $200 with two left outstanding.

I would love some advice about what to do with these non payers! What legal recourse is there and would it cost so much that it wouldn't be worthwhile?

thanks in advance

i don't know that you can do that much if the special levy wasn't registered in the minutes and voted on according to the appropriate legislation (I'm pretty sure that it's a special resolution, and more than 75% of the aggregate of the unit entitlement must vote in favour), however, if it was, the non payment of levys can be treated like any other debt.

Firstly, there is interest (12% i think) and then you can take action through a debt collection agency as you would with any other person that owes money to an organisation.
