LAWN Options for fussy gardeners, Velvetine any option?

Im super fussy with my yard and have beeen looking at many options for a coastal lawn when we have finished building.

Pretty much gone through them all except for one:

Velvetene.

Saw a home with this lawn last week, looks sensational.......saw the dude mowing so I pulled up and ask some questions..............he loves the stuff.

Does anyone know much about this particular variety? I know it is quite salt tolerant and drought resistant but they all say "their" grass is drought resistant these days when searching varieties online.

www.velvetene.com.au

Ive only seen one home actually with this grass, most uses are at golf courses.

Any feedback most welcome.

Cheers

I would use artificial grass as you never ever need to worry about it. I have in a few rental properties and the tenants love it because it looks good all year round

artificial grass is out of the question for me...mowing and doing yard is my only sanity besides fishing...

we have two dishlickers anyway so fake grass wont be happening...

fake grass looks good on roundabouts in my opinion...thats about it....

not suitable for most homes, dog crap, bird crap etc etc.....plus im at the beach so a ton of sand being dragged in by shoes etc would be a pain after a week..

thanks tho...

Sorry cannot comment on your question about your lawn choice.

I agree I think artificial lawn looks disgusting. From a distance great, but that is about it.
