lighting sale

Firstly, I don't work for these guys.

If anyone needs period style lights, AGNEWS
in Richmond is having a sale this week.

I have just been quoted around 40% off the
lights I want which will save me a bucket
load as I need 5 of them.

Their web site is here which doesn't have much
on it but I found their suppliers web site which
has the entire catalog online.here.

Like I said, I don't work for them, just appreciate
a good deal when I see it.

Careful Andrew,

Don’t believe all the ads you see. I remember seeing a nice front door for the PPOR in a local hardware once at a fairly typical price for that item. The next week a sign at that hardware advertised a minimum of 40% off all current stock. All right! Rushed down to the store to purchase my new door only to find that the door was at the old price. When I asked where’s the 40% discount he said that the price already incorporates the discount !?!?

Just a ripoff promotion to catch out the unwary.

I hope your lighting store discount is genuine ………40% is a lot!

Put it this way, I saw the wholesale price
list a few days ago (some drongo left it
out in the showroom), the price I was quoted
was about cost + 30% + GST.

You might feel that 30% is still a pretty good
margin for the retailer but in lighting I doubt it.

The overheads must be horrendous, think or
electricity cost of running all those lights
all day. Then there's all the other costs of
running a business.

Hi Andrew

In the spirit of the forum I must apologize. I am the eternal pessimist sometimes.

If you can get the lights 40% less than another suppliers price, definitely go for it!
