Dear knowledgeable ones
Myself and the lovely wife are looking for our first home that we will live in. We have an IP at the famous 3200 postcode and are now in a position to find a house just for us!
We have been looking around the Maidstone area and apart from a lack of shops and a train station it seems to be a reasonable sort of place and close to the city and Highpoint or Knifepoint as it has been described to me. It appears people have cottoned on as there is a lot of new building going on and as it has gained in price quite rapidly over the last few years but it is still cheaper that its fancier neighbours such as Seddon and Yarraville.
I would like to get your opinions on this as a suburb as I was unable to find much else on this forum regarding it. Have any of you had experience with Maidstone and its inhabitants or landmarks. Do you know of any new projects for the area? I hope to not only buy a home but one that will also rise in value for us.
