As a matter of curiousity did you choose your agent because they were the best agent or because they had the highest appraisal?

My sellers advocate sent out enquiries to three reputable, well-known agents in Brighton area. Two responded. As I understand it, the unsuccessful agent was rejected because price expectation was considered "unchallenging" and also because of quality of submission (mistakes and lacking in detail). Also the agent selected followed up with my sellers advocate on several occasions, demonstrating a keeness to get the listing.
