Multiple of the FHOG?

Hi all, I was talking with a few friends and came to the question, can a multiple of independant people purchase a property?
ie can say 3 or 4 people buy (as tenants in common or joint tenants - I'm unsure of the legal differences) say a 4 bedroom home, and if they have not owned a property before, can each access the 7K FHOG?
This would be a great boon! - 28K 'free' money from the govt.
To all the thinkers out there, is this a legal possibility?
Any ideas? :confused:

Thanks for your replys - I was thinking it would be a fine way for a bunch of students to create equity while studying.
